litters available. We ARE looking forward to litters in Spring and Fall,
2012. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to call us! If you'd like to make one of our beautiful Shannon pups a member of your family, please fill out an application, and I'll be happy to contact you regarding availability. us: My kennel is located in Chelsea, Iowa in a rural setting on 10 acres of Iowa farmland. It is surrounded by three tree farms and a pasture of cows and
calves. My breeding lines tie in with both Canadian and Texas kennels.
These kennels have historic champions in both obedience and conformation. They
have solid OFA hip certification history. All of my pups also receive complete vet clearance, with all shots and
wormings. Each pup receives daily handling and is tested for early sensory stimulations.
I take pride in my Goldens! Because of my extensive work with each
litter prior to placement and commitment to ethical breeding practices, you will add a member to your family that
has been extensively socialized to ensure a wonderful temperament. I now offer a stud service as well. Please call me for more information. |
| The first Golden Retriever I knew was a Seeing Eye Dog named Rueben. He worked for a good college friend of mine named Bob Clayton. Rueben loved to chase footballs and frisbees - and he loved Bob! |
| Shannon Golden Retrievers is named after my first Golden Retriever named Patty Jo Shannon. Patty Jo's mother was named Shannon. Patty Jo lived for 15 1/2 years! She spent her first year of life on a farm. Her favorite thing to do was lie with the pigs. She had four litters of puppies and I now have her granddaughter, Lady Always Patty Jo Shannon. Lady Patty looks exactly like my first Patty Jo. Lady Patty's pup, Walter, is now my newest member of the Shannon lines. He's a very funny pup who thinks he's a cat! |
| Here, in Iowa, I enjoy pheasant hunting with my Goldens. My Retrievers especially enjoy our Iowa creeks and small farm ponds. My Golden Retrievers also participate in obedience dog shows. My first dog, Patty, earned her C.D. title at the age of 13 years old! I will always have obedience-trained Golden Retrievers and pass on their fine characteristics with litters available. |
